Hello and welcome to another week in HWA history! This week chronicles August 13th - 19th. There’s a fun match of the week, a handful of title changes and some really interesting historical results.

Match of the Week
This week’s match comes to us from the Sorg Opera House in 2010 as Jon Moxley squares off against Ron Mathis on the August 18, 2010 “A Fight at the Opera”, which was a series of weekly shows HWA ran at the Sorg. These shows were never professionally filmed (at least to my knowledge) so handheld footage like this is the best that’s currently available.

* Brad Smith, Alan Wasylychyn and Ganger fought to a no contest in a Three Way Match when Shawn Osbourne interfered and attacked two of the participants with the third one retreating to the locker room.
* Whack Plus (Brian Jennings & Dr. Bones) def. Indiana Kid Jr. & Mace Steele
* Hellena Heavenly def. Kara Kildare
* Rory Fox def. Shawn Osbourne in a Loser Leaves HWA match
* HWA Television Champion Lotus def. Tack
* Cody Hawk & Chad Collyer def. Matt Stryker & Viper. During the match, Collyer turned on Hawk. Special referee Pepper Parks then turned on Stryker with a super kick allowing Cody to score the win. Due to pre-match stipulations, Hawk won a title shot against Matt Stryker on the September 23rd show.
