Dean Rasmussen
Before we get going this week, I want to make a quick mention of the passing of Death Valley Driver Video Review (DVDVR) founder DEAN~! Rasmussen on May 4th. I didn’t know Dean nor did I interact with him online but I do remember reading his work in the DVDVRs in the 2000s and it was wonderful. It was so full of fun and energy and humor. You could tell in his writing that was extremely passionate for professional wrestling and it showed. There are several tributes out there for him but two I would suggest everyone check out would be the tribute post that Eric Ritz wrote on Segunda Caida and the “Exile on Badstreet” tribute podcast put together with Kris Zellner, Phil Schneider and Phil Rippa. Also go back through the Internet Archive and read some of the old DVDVR issues, you’ll be glad you did.
RIP DEAN~!
